5th Class recently worked on a History Project based around the life of Nelson Mandela and his struggle against the apartheid system of government in South Africa.

6th class planted some daffodil, tulip, crocus and hyacinth bulbs on Friday.

5th Class became costume designers for a day and they came up with some very creative clothes for characters of their choice.


5th Class celebrated multi-cultural diversity within their class when boys from other countries completed a group project on their native countries. Saymon is from Poland, Attila and Patrik are from Hungary and Rytis, Adas and Haroldas are from Lithuania. Check it out!
In 5th class we have spent the last 3 weeks preparing to vote for a class president. We had a nomination process which resulted in Adam, Cathal, Eogan, Keith and James becoming our 5 nominees.
The 5 boys went head to head in a heated debate on the topic “School Uniforms are a waste of time” They have been campaigning vigorously ever since then to become class president.

We had our election today in our class polling booth. The class president will be announced on Friday 28th of October 2011.

The boys in the homework club got their shovels and spades out today when they harvested our vegetable garden. They picked lots of carrots and harvested a whole bag of potatoes. Have a look at some pictures of them in action.
